Today was a busy day! We packed up our stuff, put on our field trip outfits and walked to the Toy Zone for story time with Ms. Kristin. We had fun singing our usual songs with Ms. Kristin's guitar and her new bongo drums and we learned some new songs too! We read a couple of stories including "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" one of our all time favorites!
When story time was finished we said goodbye and walked to Paradise Pete's for some pizza and bread sticks before walking back to school. Paradise Pete's has a couple of outdoor tables so we were able to eat our lunch outside, it was fun!
The children were so well behaved I was very impressed! We started a little contest- which table could be the best behaved table- the girl table or the boy table. Both tables were full of manners, quiet voices and polite friends. My mom's cousin passed us as we were eating and she was so impressed she couldn't believe the wonderful behavior or the cute little smiling faces waving at her! (They really ARE the best looking group around!) I used to help her take care of her infant triplet and older little boy when I was in middle school so she knows exactly what it takes to get a number of same age children ready and out the door each day and get back home in one piece again at the end of the day! Her boys are now 15 and 13 years old!!!
When we were finished with lunch we loaded up and walked back to school and watched a music DVD video brought by Jayme and Dru today we all danced and sang for 1/2 an hour before reading a story, saying our goodnight poem, singing our goodnight song and laying down for a quiet rest.
