Today we made some yummy friendship soup! It was delicious! We had quite a large variety of Vegetables today and some great helpers too. Quinn was the kitchen helper today.
Our activity this morning was working on our Outdoor Challenge #1. We have been going on nature hikes and exploring our play yard and area parks daily for the last couple of weeks. Today we closed our eyes and thought quietly about the different creatures and items we have seen outside on our walks. Then we got our nature journals out and drew a picture of the coolest thing we had seen outside. Some of the children drew crayfish, or acorns, tree's, rainbows and of course a few people remember finding the little kitten out in our playground!
I helped the children write about their picture and then we had free play time in our playroom before lunch.
We will be studying Acorns a little bit further as that was a pretty popular item in the children's journal.
This afternoon we celebrated Rosh Hashanah The Jewish New Year and Miel and Isaiah brought some honey and apples to share with the class to symbolize a sweet new year. Thanks Miel and Isaiah!
After snack we enjoyed free play outside and free art coloring with colored pencils.
