"Children over-scheduled with structured activities are missing the chance they have to dream, to fantasize, to make their own work the way the want it. That, to me is a very important part of childhood"
Dr. T Berry Brazelton

We had another great day today! We started out with a trip to the Peace Garden to let our butterfly go. Then we walked to Folwell to play at the playground before school started only to learn that "Running Club" takes up the whole playground all morning before school starts- bummer! We don't have a playground right now because we're working on letting our grass grow a little so we decided to take the older kids to school and then come inside for a movie and tea/muffins before working on making our friendship soup. The children had fun trying to chop our vegetables and Zara enjoyed being the vegetable washer today!
Our lunch was home made vegetable soup, banana, rice, and milk.
When lunch was finished we went out to the stream again to catch some more minnows and crayfish for our tank. If you haven't seen our outdoor tank yet, ask your child to show you! We keep it on the back porch. It's fun to hear the children tell all about our newest class animals- they really enjoy it!
