Rain Rain Go Away Come Again Another Day!
It feels like it's been raining forever! We've held up pretty well though and have had patches of dry weather to get outside and run around every day.
We've kept busy with puzzles, sorting our nature items, making nature necklaces and squirrel puppets.
Today we saw something REALLY cool! We saw our butterfly come out of it's cocoon! She's been hanging by a thread on the dinning room chandelier for quite a while and we weren't sure if she'd ever come out with this cold rainy weather but she decided to pop out today to brighten our day!
We enjoyed music class today. Today was our last day of the Socialization unit and we spent the class period enjoying some of our favorite activities we've done these past 3 months. We were able to choose between a couple of our favorite finger plays and song activities, danced with colored scarves and then finished by playing our favorite instruments.
We plan on finishing up our hand print fall tree painting projects this afternoon and possibly doing a baking project or play dough depending on the time we have left and the children's moods.
Coin jar update- The good behavior coin jar's are getting pretty full! We've had some great listening ears in this class! We are planning a Pajama party next Friday October 16th. Wear your Pajama's and bring your favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal!
We've really been enjoying our nap time story! We light our candles, turn off the lights and sing our story time song. Then we quietly sit together in a little circle to hear "The tale of despereaux" We are already on Chapter 10, we just can't put it down! It's such an exciting story! Even the younger children listen quietly to the story everyday.
We are looking forward to watching the movie when we are finished with the book.
