To continue with our Owl theme today we made play dough but instead of using our play dough tools got out some feathers! We made some really cool creations!
We sang our owl songs and read a new book that Quinn brought to share with the class called "Night Sounds". It is the greatest book! It's like a guessing game for your ears! The children really loved listening to the sounds of the animals and trying to guess the animal that makes that noise. Of course we ALL answered correctly when we heard the owl sound! And we even knew it was a Great Horned Owl by looking at the ear tuffs in the picture.
Everyone had such a fun time with free play time too. We made a train using the chairs, and several of our friends made big castles using all of the blocks. The children are getting sooooo good at cleaning up quickly, I couldn't believe it when I turned around for one minute today and when I looked at the room again it was all cleaned up! They've been pretty helpful and sweet with Ryan being at Jury Duty these last two days. I'm glad to have such good helpers in my class!
For lunch we had pepperoni pizza, squash and sweet potato's, strawberry yogurt and a yogurt covered pretzel for desert with milk.
Our snack today is Oreo cookies and water.
