Today was a quiet Monday. We have a few friends that are on vacation with their families, one friend that is sick (hope you get better soon!) and a couple of friends who were sick last week and just back for school today. So we had a relaxing morning of free play time. The children really enjoying playing with the one inch colored cubes today. They made color patterns, counted and stacked them, and made pyramids while working together in groups! Some of the children have also really been enjoying the alphabet lacing beads lately. Zara and Quinn surprised us by spelling simple words along with their names with the beads and the others have been practicing stringing the beads and sorting them by color.
After that they played some hide-and-seek in our classroom! That was so much fun!
We worked together to clean up our classroom and then had our lunch of friendship soup, rice, apple halves, and milk. It was delicious!
We read an old favorite book- "Winter King, Summer Queen" before laying down for a rest today.
After rest time we had chocolate chip cookies! (A rare treat!) with milk and we played outside in the beautiful sunshine!
