Look at these "germs" on our hands! We practiced washing our hands with soap and water, and learned that washing with ONLY water just didn't get all of the germs off! We need soap, and we also need to scrub scrub scrub, especially between our fingers, on our fingernails, and wrists! It's a big job to get those hands washed properly, but it's very important!
We did a little spring sticker project this morning decorating rabbits and butterflies. The oldest children worked on creating patterns with the stickers, the younger ones just decorated them.
When we were finished the preschoolers had music class with Ms. Carol while the school aged children took a trip to the Toy Zone to shop for science/art supplies.
Our music class was all about Easter today. We began with learning the sign language words for bunny, carrot, and egg. Then we got our colorful egg shakers and shook them to "The Easter Bunny Hop". Next, we worked our fine motor skills by learning the fingerplay "Here Is A Bunny". Then we took turns picking carrots out of the Easter basket. Each carrot had a movement card inside that told us how to move our bodies to "The Bunny Rock". To end the day we played some of our favorite instruments to "Peter Cottontail".

"Here is a bunny" fingerplay

Here is a bunny with ears so funny
and here is a hole in the ground
when a noise he hears
he perks up his ears
and jumps in a hole in the ground!
