We had a pretty full day today. The children have been enjoying LONG outdoor free play time now that they don't have to wear boots, snow pants and thick jackets. It's like a whole new world out on our playground! We even discovered some green plants beginning to grow along the side of our house. We've moved from "Safety" to "Health" this week and have set up a baby care area in one side of the playroom. We have a baby bath area, pretend medicine, rubber gloves, and a stethoscope. We used to have a bunch of baby care items for our health unit but I can't seem to find the box now that we've had to rearrange a little due to the basement flood!
If you find any baby/child care items we could use in our classroom for a week or so we would love to have them! Anything like cotton balls, tooth brush, medicine droppers, bottles, doctor kit stuff, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
While the girls were caring for the babies, the boys were using the blocks to build a "Jesus Airplane"...your guess is as good as mine!?? But they sure had fun! We've been working on putting our outside voices in the basket near the entryway folders as we come inside from outdoor play- it works WONDERFULLY! Everyone should have a basket in their house to keep outside voices in ! :)
