This morning we enjoyed free play on our playground. I brought the spring books outdoors and now we have a garden reading space for those that want some peace and quiet during free play. It worked out really well. Each child chose to have some quiet reading time at least once this morning. We'll be changing our book themes often! We have so many fun themes for spring and summer learning, we are so excited about them!
Our art project today was pine cone weaving. The pine cones turned out BEAUTIFUL! They are perfect spring and summer decorations, and are full of beautiful bright colors. We've been loving this warm weather and sunshine and have been spending every moment we can outdoors. As soon as the school aged children are home for the summer we'll have some more fieldtrips planned and more special "theme" days- we can't wait!
This afternoon we are having our special ice cream sundae party! Check out all the yummy stuff we have to use as toppings! The children are so excited about making their OWN ice cream sundae. Thank you to all of the families that brought in such yummy treats!

Please make sure your children have good walking/waterproof shoes here. When school is out we will be walking long distances more often and visiting the stream and parks around the neighborhood. We still have some little ones coming with shoes that they can't put on/off themselves, and aren't good for walking long distances.
