Today while part of the class had gymnastics class the other part of the class helped to make a new sandbox! It took a lot of work, we raked, cleaned up sticks and rocks, moved logs, and filled the area with sand. Kroix was very cute while we were working (his favorite thing to do!) and said, "Heather, you don't have to do all of this work, me do the whole thing for you!"
We also got in lots of free play time, finger knitting practice (both kindergarten girls finished a finger knitted bracelet today!) Bug hunting, dancing, and reading.
While moving some of our logs we got to see a bunch of baby ants and their eggs, some worms, larvae of some kind, and lots of centipedes. It was very exciting stuff!
Our lunch was peanut butter sandwiches, tomato, carrot sticks, gold fish crackers, and apples. After eating our lunch we played in the sand until it was rest time- it's so much fun to have a new sandbox!
