Spring is coming, spring is coming, birdies build your nest! Weave together straw and feather doing each your best.

Spring is coming, spring is coming, flowers are coming too. Pansies, lilies, daffodillies, all are coming through!

Spring is coming, spring is coming, all around is fair. Shimmer quiver on the river, Joy is everywhere!

What a beautiful day. We played outside with chalk, bikes, toy animals and push toys for quite a while this morning. In our classroom we did lots of fun activities! We practiced making rainbows using rainbow colored glass stones and the one inch foam cubes. We also used a tweezers to pick up colored cotton balls and sort them by color and size.
For group time we read the book "Mouses First Spring" and talked about the signs of spring we have seen so far and what we expect to see in the coming weeks.
We also practiced our new spring song "Spring is Coming".
We had spinach salad for lunch with edamame, carrots, cheese and ranch dressing, applesauce and peanut butter sandwich with milk.
After lunch we worked on making rainbow scenes using new watercolor crayons. When the drawings are finished we will use a paintbrush and water to make the pictures look as if they were painted with watercolors.
Music class was all about St. Patrick's Day today. W learned the sign language signs for green and lucky. Then we got out our rhythm sticks and tapped them to the Irish song "Piper Piper". Next we learned the finger play "Leprechaun." Then we got up and did some big movements to "Jig Along Josie". next we played some of our favorite instruments to "Rig A Jig Jig". And to end we slowed things down by slowly moving to "Too Rah Loo Rah" and Irish lullaby.
