Today we learned that many plants were green because the green color helps the plant get energy from the sun. All living things need energy and people are no exception! Anna guessed that we got energy from food rather than the sun, she was right! People eat healthy food to get energy but plants get energy from the sun!
We started our morning walk as a "green hunt" as we looked around at all of the different plants and tree's and tried to find everything that was green. We had fun searching for many different types of plants and trees that had the color green on them and taking pictures of them.
We played at Kutzky Park for quite a while this morning and ended our play time with some time on the bridge checking out the water. Today we actually saw a fish swimming in the water! We also saw a dog cooling off in the water with it's owner, we all thought he was really cute!
We waved at the dog and the fish and walked back to school for lunch.
Our lunch was peanut butter bagels with grapes, carrot sticks, cottage cheese and water.
After lunch we plan on playing in our play yard for a little while before taking our rest. It's so warm and beautiful outside today!
