Our new friend Kroix started school today! He's been really fun and is getting along really well. We spent most of our morning having some free play time. We pulled weeds in the garden, used the wheelbarrow to pick up sticks around the yard, played follow the leader and had some tree races. June, July and August are much slower months for us. We spend more time outside and much less time doing structured activities. We do still have group time, music, Spanish, and great artist day each week but most of our learning will take place outside in our play yard or around the town. Today was our new Monday Spanish class schedule. It worked out well to have Ms. Cristina come while Ryan and I prepared lunch. Our lunch was veggie quesadilla's (it was too warm for soup!)banana and milk. We had our lunch outside like a picnic!
When we came inside we read a story and said our nap time poems and sang goodnight to all of our friends and we snuggled onto our mats for naptime.
This afternoon we might make painted butterflies before going home for the evening.
