Today was a busy day! We started out with some active games in our yard and then came inside for music class. This week at music class we learned about the wind instruments. We practiced saying and signing the colors and also practiced being a conductor! It was so much fun!
After music we got our field trip outfits on and went to Sargent's Flower Shop to shop for our play yard and garden. We had fun looking for flowers and checking out the bumble bees in action! We picked out some pretty colored flowers for the garden and some little bushes for the yard. The children are looking forward to planting the flowers this afternoon. We stopped at my dad's office and said hello and left our flowers there so that we could walk home. Everyone gave him lots of hugs and high fives and loved visiting with him for a few minutes. Between the flower shop and my dad's office the Acorn class walked holding an Oak Tree partners hand- they were so proud walking and their Oak Tree friends were really proud to be such good helpers too.
We ran ran ran all the way home- boy is that a workout! We were sweating and panting like crazy when we got back home!! We needed a nice cold drink of water and a rest on the couch!
Our lunch menu is pizza, peas and grapes with milk. We had a banana for snack before we left on our field trip and we'll have toast for snack in the afternoon.
