Today we planted the shrubs that we bought on our flower shop field trip yesterday. The children loved watching the process and digging through the soil searching for worms. It started to rain so we got on our rain coats and went on a rain walk. We found quite a few tree stumps along the side walk and looked at the rings in the tree to try to figure out how old the tree was. We also found a great big earth worm on the side walk and a tiny egg that looked like it had fallen from a hedge. When we came back inside we turned on the movie "Tinkerbelle" and had a snack of popcorn while lunch was being prepared.
