Today we spent quite a while playing outside on our playground. When we came in we practiced counting up to 5 in Spanish and English and then practicing writing our numbers 1-5. We also matched the acorns on our paper with real acorns!
Our art project today was painting with acorns using fall colors- the paintings turned out great- each one is unique.
We read the story "Miss Suzy" and then made up our own squirrel stories as a language project.
We have some very creative story tellers- I think they could have kept going and going if there had been more room to write and more time to complete our work!
This afternoon we'll be looking at a book Milan's mom Angie let us borrow that has lots of different types of Oak Tree's- their leaves and their acorns. Miel and Isaiah are also going to share a special big wooden acorn they each received as a gift ! Very cool!
