Our project of the day today was cinnamon ornaments! The children helped pour the applesauce and cinnamon into the bowl, and they mixed it up. Then they chose which cookie cutter they wanted to use and practiced pushing it into the dough and wiggling it a bit to loosen the edges. Cinnamon dough is really sticky and pretty messy but it sure smells great and makes adorable ornaments!
We watched "Disney's 12 days of Christmas" movie, which is a short little sing a long type of movie with all of our favorite Christmas songs on it.
Some of us worked on bead wreaths again and we finished up our hand-print ornaments too.
For story time we read the book "The 12 days of Christmas" by Jan Brett and practiced counting the objects up to 12.
At nap time Ryan read the story "Snow" and sang the goodnight song. Normally we give a hug, or a high five, or a foot five, a tap of a magic wand, or sometimes a bonk on the head when it's the child's turn to get on their sleeping mat- and today Ryan bonked them as a joke- I was cleaning the kitchen and heard "Ryan hit me again, hit me harder!" Just so you we don't have any misunderstandings it's a gentle bump! :) And everyone loves it! Today Kane said "I love going to this school!" it was so cute.
This afternoon we plan on playing in the snow! We haven't been out for a couple of days with but today the temp. is above 0 so we're excited to get out!

WOW! You guys do a ton of work!! I know most young children cannot do these things without a LOT of help! You make it look so easy & fun! Bless you! The children will remember the gifts they made & gave for years to come.
Love, MOM
