Today we started our day with some free play with the dress up clothes. The green and red play dough was also available for anyone that wanted to use it at the table.
Zara was the first one to choose a book from our pile under the Christmas tree to open and read at story time. She choose one of the smaller books- "The Christmas Gift" a short version of the Polar Express story. We sang our Christmas songs and then got to check out what was in our advent garland in the "1" pouch because today is the first day of December. There were little tiny winter erasers hidden inside! We're excited to see what will be in the number 2 pocket tomorrow!
Our activity for the day was music class with Ms. Carol.
This week's theme for music class was "Sports". We started music class by singing "Hello It's music time" Then we learned the sign language signs for baseball, football and basketball. Next, we got out our rhythm sticks and tapped them to the song "Tap tap tap your rhythm sticks". Next we learned the finger play "baseball and football" Then we got our bodies moving as we shook our streamer sticks to "Cheering at the game". To end the day we played some of our favorite instruments to "Take me out to the ballgame".
We had spaghetti, banana and milk for lunch and cookies for a morning snack brought by Milan (Thank you!!)
