What a beautiful day, a perfect day for a long spring walk to see the Easter Bunny!
The children walked two by two in boy/girl partners down the side walk in their matching field trip dresses and collard shirts singing the whole way. I felt like I was in the Sound Of Music! We certainly looked like a modern day Von Trapp family! It was so adorable! They helped each other keep in line and keep up with the rest of the group. We were thankful the school aged friends were home from school this week as they're great at keeping everyone going and keeping an eye out on everyone while were walking. We got many compliments on how cute, sweet, and well behaved the children were! And of course we got the "Are they all yours?" question a few times. We've started saying "YES!" and walking away as they stand there in shock. Seriously people?? How in the world could we have 13 kids under the age of 6, before we hit 30 years old??? You wouldn't believe how many out of this world questions we get from people when we're out in public! Once a lady even asked me if I delivered all of them at the clinic! hahaha! Ummm, NO!
The children had a great time chatting with the bunny, it's a GIRL bunny this year with a pink vest and bow tie so the girls of course thought that was pretty cool! After our photos, high fives and hugs from the Easter Bunny we went to the food court for lunch and a snack and a short rest before our long walk home.
The walk home was the same way! The children sang, laughed, and helped their partners all the way home. It was very sweet and enjoyable!
Here is one of our class walking songs- we sing this everyday when we line up and when we go on walks. It keeps out feet moving- and that way everyone around us knows when we're coming or going and of course that "Heather's Class is the best!"
