We had a change of plans today! Ryan and I took Elia and Josie to the movie last night and as it turns out- it was pretty boring unfortunately. The Earth movie was MUCH more interesting with funny and sweet parts to it. We figured taking the preschoolers to a boring movie was more like punishment than a reward and forcing them to sit still and be quiet wouldn't be much fun for them, plus it's so expensive to go to a movie that isn't much fun! We like to preview movies that the children watch BEFORE they watch them so we decided not to check out any other movie's at the theaters but to change our plans completely.
We decided to go to Quarry Hill and take a hike instead! The children were alright with that decision but are looking forward to a trip to the theater sometime soon too!
Ryan doesn't take many pictures when he is out, but the children said they had fun exploring the water, the paths through the woods and seeing lots of animals. Especially the baby ducks they found! They got to go to the gas station and pick out a treat on the way home from Quarry Hill and miss naptime so I think it was a great reward trip anyway even though we changed our plans last minute.
