First Discoveries Holiday Party 2009

We will be celebrating Christmas but mostly celebrating each other and the wonderful friendships we have formed at school this year!

We will have a small gift exchange in the late afternoon.

Here is the exchange list- your child will be exchanging with the person across from their name on the list-

Remember gifts from the heart are totally acceptable- no need to spend much money or time shopping- I don't want this party to cause parents more stress than it's worth!

Home made ornaments, treats, small toys, a burned cd of your child's favorite songs,stickers, art supplies,- etc. In years past it honestly hasn't been about what the item was at all, at this age the children are so very appreciative of ANY gift they receive from their friends-and enjoy giving gifts and celebrating together just as much if not more than receiving gifts.

Let me know if you do not know the child you are shopping for and I'll point them out to you or give you some ideas. Remember to label your gifts well! If children would like to wear their fancy clothes this day that would be totally fine- I know we have a few girls and boys that love to get dressed up for special occasions. We probably will not be going outside this day, or using any messy art materials so hopefully a fancy shirt or dress would survive the day :)
